When it comes to fabrics, try to make sure that you’re buying clothes made out of 100% cotton. For certain types of clothes that need fastening or tightening, try to go for stringed clothes. Velcro may be too uncomfortable for your baby, especially a newborn. Also, buttons pose as choking hazards.

Online, you can find a lot of baby clothes that you won’t find in your local stores; and usually for cheaper prices too. This isn’t to say going local is overrated, since you can always benefit from the your local shops’ assistants’ expertise in clothes for the baby.
When your baby has grown a little, you can revisit the baby clothes stores to find more stylish clothes. There are a lot of designer clothes for kids these days, or if you want to go cheap, you can get clothes that are based on designer ones. With the internet, you can find all sorts of designs for your baby’s clothing. For younger babies, however, stick to those that are comfortable for your baby and reserve the fashionable clothes for later.
